It also shows you how to use the Breath to become healthier "Yoga at Your Desk helps to relieve Stress in the workplace. It is a form of Preventative Health Maintenance.

The Human Body was made for movement, not for sitting for hours at a time! Gentle stretches and movements can help open healthier neuro-pathways in the body. This is a part of “Yoga at Your Desk.”

Dubbed the “workplace epidemic of the computer age, Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) affects millions of people who spend long hours at keyboards, switchboards and other work sites where they perform a repetitive motion (such as clicking a mouse) over and over again. It is said that half of the American work force will experience an RSI at some point in their working lives. Performing thousands of keystrokes for hours on end can be extremely irritating to overused body parts, causing microscopic tears in tendons, nerves, muscles and other soft tissues. As these tears become inflamed without rest and repair, these “micro-traumas” can lead to RSI’s and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Simple hand-arm movements can help to alleviate these symptoms and avoid surgery. This is one more healthy option offered by “Yoga at Your Desk.”
